CBW Bi-ennial Election/Discussion of Lessons Learned

Luncheon: Tuesday, February 16th, 2010
 Location: Dianne Jordan's home, Gloucester Point (Scroll down for directions)

 

 

The first order of business will be to elect a new slate of officers for the next two years. Following the election, members will engage in round-table discussions to identify the most helpful and important writing-related lessons learned in recent years. A spokesperson selected from each table will then share the table's main talking points with all present. Everyone will be given an opportunity to comment on or add to the summaries.

 

ADVANCED RESERVATIONS REQUIRED: There's room for a few more members to join us if any are so inclined, but because of the catering, I ask that those who have yet to make reservations R.S.V.P. Dianne by email (DJordan40@cox.net) or by phone (804-684-5460). Bring a check for $12 payable to CBW with you if you have yet to mail it in.

 

** Lunch will be a catered buffet consisting of chicken salad with pecans, apples and cranberries on a large croissant, chilled fresh green bean salad with a white sauce of mayo and horseradish, red potato salad with chopped garlic and cilantro, fresh-baked loaf cakes with mixed berries and whipped cream, iced tea and coffee and water. No alcohol will be served.

Directions

Because of the unusually small number making reservations (12), we have relocated the meeting from Abingdon Church to the home of Dianne Jordan (see directions below). All other aspects of the meeting remain the same (Noon arrival time, catered meal, agenda).

This note is being sent to all members in the event the location shift (nearer the York River bridge at Gloucester Point) affects their plans to attend. Directions to Dianne’s:

·        Coming from the North, Turn left onto Tidemill Road (There's a light located at intersection of Rt. 17 and Tidemill Road just before the bridge at Gloucester Point. Coming from south, look for this intersection on the right after crossing the bridge.

·        Proceed on Tidemill Road about one mile over small bridge.

·        Turn right on to West Lane.

·        Drive a few hundred feet to Dockside.

·        Turn right on Sunset Drive. 

·        Take first right into large parking lot.

·        Bear left past two banks of mailboxes.

·        Dianne's condo, # 7871 is the last one in building #25, (number on end of mailbox shelter).
