Author Bio

I never would have dreamed as a youngster that teaching could lead one through so many challenging and rewarding life experiences. As a Peace Corps volunteer I taught English to professors in Venezuela; back home at university level I found we leapt beyond diagraming sentences to developing an essay around a thesis statement. No matter the very different levels of preparation among the students, teaching was always stimulating...and a good preparation for my own writing. As a member of CBW I was challenged to write short fiction as well as poetry which has appeared in anthologies along the way. I have recently delved into historical fiction and completed a novel A Daring Venture focused on the women sent to Jamestown to marry the early settlers. With the support of CBW members, I hope to continue to expand and grow.
