Below are current writing opportunities for CBW members.

· Only accepting fiction

  Short story not to exceed 5,000 words

  No poetry

·  Submissions must be in MS Word format

· Setting must be in astern Virginia

· Submission deadline is June 30, 2025

The Golden Nib

 

The Golden Nib, started in 2005, is the Virginia Writers Club (VWC) annual writing competition in three categories: Fiction, Nonfiction, and Poetry. The contest has two tiers. CBW first place winners receive a cash prize and go on to compete in the VWC state-wide contest with cash prizes.
